These squares are not cut comb; they’re made using inserts in special frames, ensuring you receive exactly what the bees crafted. Each square varies slightly in weight, colour, and taste, making every piece a masterpiece of nature!

Our comb honey was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2024 Outstanding Food Producer Awards. The judges praised it for its exceptional flavour and beautiful presentation.

Producing comb honey is more challenging than making creamed or raw honey. We must get our timing with the honey flow perfect to allow the bees to draw out the beeswax before filling it with their delicious honey. In some years, unfavourable weather can disrupt this process, making our comb honey harvests limited.

Each square is fully traceable to individual hives, complete with an information sheet detailing the harvest date and hive number.

Ingredients: 100% Pure New Zealand Honey.

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

Not recommended for infants under 12 months.

Minimum weight 340 grams.

Our honey is Single-Source, meaning it comes exclusively from beehives on our family farm, Branch Creek Station.

It’s a Clover Blend, with our bees primarily foraging on the White Clover flowers in our pastures. However, you’ll also experience unique flavors from other flora found throughout the Cardrona Valley, including Vipers Bugloss (Borage), Willow, Matagouri, and occasionally small amounts of Manuka and Kanuka. These native and introduced plant species contribute to our honeys gorgeous golden color and its sweet yet tangy aroma. While our hives remain in the same locations, each season brings slightly different harvests—honey is much like wine in that regard!
